A growing-green blog.

I’m getting “my” company hooked on going green, it’s going to be quite a journey since I have to show that going green is not just “my crazy new goal”, but also a good sales/marketing decision.

I´d love to work for a company that wants to grow by:

-Bettering its practices

-Finding earth-friendly suppliers, humanity-responsible partners and society-minded clients.

-Aiding those who help to make the world a better place for all.

I believe that such a company shouldn´t have to “advertise” itself, it just needs to join the dialogue with like-minded individuals, groups and institutions.

I want this model to be applied to the internet-company that recently hired me.

I’ll write updates on the process and meetings of growing green in with this company.

Every monday(for now) I’ll add thoughts of mine or posts from featured writers, I’ll also be requesting for advice/ideas in order to grow green.

IMPORTANT.

This blog is a personal project.

The thing I’ve found key to “going green” is sustainability – both in the green idea and in the way you go about achieving it. Going for big, bold changes is very laudable, but probably not sustainable as it’s too much of a shock to the system/people’s routines. Small, gradual change change is likely to be more sustainable, meet with less resistance (will they even notice if their coffee is fairtrade organic or nescafe?) and a dozen small changes a year can easily outstrip 1 big one.
    Hope that helps
